Arif Durrani is the Executive Editor for Bloomberg Media Studios in EMEA, the company's global content studio. He joined Bloomberg in 2015 as its first Commercial Editor in EMEA, tasked with building its branded content and commercial editorial operation. Promoted to Executive Editor in the summer of 2017, he is responsible for custom editorial across Bloomberg's portfolio of media brands, including Bloomberg.com, BusinessWeek and Bloomberg TV.
Bloomberg Media Studios has won a raft of international awards since 2015, proving that taking a more editorial approach to commercial content can pay dividends.
Prior to joining Bloomberg Arif spent 15 years working in the newsrooms of business magazines and newspapers. He was an established media and technology columnist at industry bible Campaign magazine and a contributor to the Guardian and City AM newspapers. He was also editor of Haymarket's Brand Republic Group where he led what was then the UK's largest marketing site, named AOP's Digital Business Publisher of the Year in 2011.
