Richard has had a career based around telling stories – currently he is Creative and Strategy Director for National Geographic CreativeWorks EMEA – working with brands looking to share their stories of how they are playing their part to get our planet back into balance.

Previously he worked at LEGO in Denmark where he told daring tales of crooks stealing sausages (when he headed up Creative for LEGO City); and a team of incredible girls who used their unique skills to make the world a better place (for LEGO Friends).

Prior to that he was a founding partner of 34 - an ad agency in South Africa where he focussed on shopper marketing and design for brands from Absolut Vodka to Coca-Cola to The Springboks.
